"Ambassador" must have a different connotation here. I'm learning every day.

A Rubicon mall crawler isn't right to begin with. But adding 22" wheels and stretched M/T or A/T tires should make it downright illegal. I would absolutely refuse to even throw up a Jeep wave to such an abomination.

Not everyone thrashes around on the rocks and the reality is that even though many people here buy the big tires.....they don't actually wheel it shocking.

If he wants 22's- let him. There was a disclaimer from the start that he didn't need sass. Besides, at least his jeep will stand out in the meets where everyone else has typical 37's, light bars, and the same 17" level 8 wheels....oh wait, I fall into the category of having the same wheels as everyone else too.

Isn't the "jeep thing" about individuality and expression?

Thanks to those actually contributing to the thread.

To those making claims of stretched tires, getto, etc. Here is a pick of the Fuel OFFROAD wheel and the Toyo A/T 37" tire that is going on this build.

In addition assuming most of you did not see my build page, so here is the link. I am pretty sure this "Mall Crawler" will handle better and offroad better than most of your Jeeps!!

Yes I did share my opinion on this topic. But I also tried to share some advice, too. I did offer up my experience with the Open Country RTs, altohugh I never did off road with them. My truck wasn't meant for that purpose. I wanted a more aggressive tread pattern for the ice we get here in NTX during the winter months. I have no doubt they will perform well off road, though. Ultimately it's your build, man. If it makes you happy, go for it! It's a Jeep thing.....a good ribbing is just part of it! Personally, I wouldn't go larger than 18" wheels on my Jeep. I like to have some sidewall on my tires to prevent flats/damage. And I've seen it happen even on 17" wheels and 37's. All depends on the driver. Just opening yourself up to more possibilities for damage with larger wheels and smaller sidewall is all. But if it's what you like and you work your ass off to get it....by all means....do it. Just understand that you will catch hell from most of the Jeep community for it. It's nothing personal. At the end of the day....it's still a Jeep.

While it may not be better than your tj off road, it would most certainly do better than the jk.

Nope. That JK had traction aids in the diffs, plus a Rubi T-case. I have the 8th Wrangler on order. I don't build Jeep's for the mall or to look ghetto.

Current JK.....ProRock 44, PSC hydro assist, RockJock 60, 37's on 17" beadlocks, etc., etc.
