Post your pics of SOFT DOORS.

Looking for some pics of soft doors. I have a 4DR and am going to purchase the Bestop fronts next week. Maybe get the rears later (as my wallet recovers). I've only seen one JK with 4 soft doors here in the Detroit area. None with 2.

I know - I've heard all the pros and cons of soft doors. I had them for my '02 TJ and made the adjustments and they were pretty good to me. Not perfect, but good. I'm excited to get them for my JK.

So do you want to see one with all soft doors or just the fronts?

You can find us running around the Rochester area just north of you.
Personally, I love my 2 piece soft doors.

Some with just the fronts would be cool, buy all would work too.

Here is a picture of my soft door on my old 2-door Jeep. I plan to put it on my 4-door but haven't yet. I need to work out what I want to do with the mirrors. I am thinking that I will get some cheap CIPA CJ mirrors to mount to the A-Pillar (https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...t=cipa+mirrors). Wasn't really happy with the Rugged Ridge relocation brackets because I couldn't see much of the passenger mirror with the complete soft door on. And now I have power/heated mirrors so I don't think relocation is the way to go.

Another mirror option is to get TJ mirrors and the mounting kit to mount them to the soft door. I just want the ability to have mirrors when I take the doors off, especially since the soft doors just lift off.

I provided images to Amazon.com that you can view here:
www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/B001898WRA/ref=cm_ciu_pdp_images_all

They show some of the details.

One issue I would like to point out is that at highway speeds, there is enough suction to pull the top of the door away from the vehicle. You can combat this by opening the door and standing on the interior side of the door and pulling down to bend the top in a bit. After you have done this the door will have trouble closing because it lands in the wrong spot too soon. You need to push the door top outward while you close it. From the inside it is easy. From the outside it is easy too, just hold on to the cloth around the window.

I also had to do some adjustment of the pins that connect the top to the bottom half so they would go together (and apart) easier. I think I have some more work on that front.

I would also like to point out that you will not be getting the seal that you have with the hard door. If a truck goes by you will feel a breeze coming in. They do the job they are intended for, you just need to be aware of that and you will love them.

I opted for these and love them...not the full soft door. I am rhino-lined with no carpet so the quickie T-shower doesn't bother me. It took a year for BestTop to get my rear doors off back order so be ready to wait. BTW, I hated running with just the fronts. It looks so much better with both.

I have a 13 mo. old and a 3yr old. Thought it would be best to keep the hard doors on the rear. Although the 3yr. old wanted her door off last night after she saw that I had the fronts off!! :D
