go with the metal mirrors, the plastic one on the drivers side looks cheap and doesnt really match IMO

 

1. with the lift, fenders and stock wheels it makes it look like alot more than 2.5"

2. The metal mirrors look more "jeep" and the plastic ones look like you stole them off a Fiero . IF you could prime the meatal ones and shoot them black they would probably match the rest of the jeep better.

3. Yes I'm not a big fan of Fords either but the rebuild experience was good.

black metal mirror was my thought too ... too bad they only had one mirror. i do already have the paint to shoot it real quick whenever i find time though. most likely not till after my vacation all next week.

since those stock tires look just STUPID on there IMHO, i'm also half tempted to just go buy a steel 17x9 wheel to mount the tires to go on vacation not lookin funny ... but for the matter of a week or two, i bet i don't.

a few other thoughts ... i'm not very happy with the fit of the soft doors. i know the lower opening is strait from the full doors being on there and they just don't line up right. they don't line up with the windshield and top door surround perfect either ... but that's not their issue. the front flares are also on my list, the blinkers while they look ok and will be more then functional, were a horrible design. they even have you make one of the wire leads for the light. they seam like an after thought with not real finished plan.

 

also needs a winch ... bad. i hate that open hole in the front.

when i get home i'll actually wire them to the connectors i cut off the old lights and test em with the headlights on. that will be nice to not have to worry about.

oh yeah, what's that? A REAR VIEW MIRROR!!! and yes it's on upside down, i'm a tall guy and i flip it over on the post to get it up as high as possible so it's not in my line of vision.

i had a rattle, found it and fixed it. the bumper was hitting the pinch seam round under the tub.

both mirrors are LAME ... once i'm home from vacation there will be much playing and all new stuff.

got the lights wired and they work great as markers!
