Pulled The Trigger
this is my 2nd M8000,used my other one for years on my bronco's for years with no problems(got vain when bought rubi, didn,t want to install old winch on new ride)there are better, stronger winches out there but M8000 is a great choice for a JK,very reliable, plus nice and compact for a clean install
PS cheers on buying North American product(I'm Canadian but would rather spend my money on U.S.made product than product made overseas by slave/child labour)

I added my M8000 last December, first time out it saved me from ripping the front fender the Jeep. Then it worked like a champ when I lost my clutch in a mud hole and had to winch myself off the trail to an access road where we could get another vehicle to pull me out of the park, about 1 1/2 hours of continuous winching.
I keep meaning to order that little bracket, but so far the zipties are still holding up.

in regards to M8000 solenoid box mounting check this out

had already fabbed up protective grill for a/c condensor/radiator out of some expanded metal and 1/4 coldroll, was just enough room between it and grill to install solenoid box to expanded metal screen, keeps solenoid box neat and out of the way,and yes the stock cables did reach(just)

Great choice! I almost bought one at a Jeep COnvention but the fact that I wanted to be able to have enough money for my lift stoped me! It's definately going to be put on my Jeep within the next year though!
hey redneck jeep, thanx for the compliment,I also recomend running protection for rad and a/c like I did, saves alot of rocks/bugs hitting condensor, when I get back from short holiday next week can post pics of install if interested.
hey dutchboy check for pm,I did similar install on another JK(don't have pics) by fabbing mount bracket out of 3/16 by 1"steel flatbar, and mounting that to x-member ahead of rad(carefull of no contact with a/c+rad)run stock cables under x-member to new box location, will just reach if you plan location right.would be an easier install than whats on mine(remove long studs from control box, replace with 1/4" bolts(heads towards the rad, nuts inside box)attach box to fabbed bracket,
