My bra is pretty flat too.
What really makes the bra stand out and look even better is when the top and doors are off. I think when the Jeep is naked and has the bra, its quite the tease.

 

whats the purpose of the bra? to prevent scatches?

So tight there is no flapping!

She may need a bra....but she is tight!

 

Looks nice, just be careful. If you go off road and dirt gets under the bra, it will have it's way with your paint.

 

To each their own! I just cant get into the 'bra' thing.. unless it is "DOG" saying "hey Bra!"

 

If the bra is installed correctly, and tight enough is won't flap, it may rise up with the air draft on the highway but it won't flap up and down, also the backing is soft. As for Function, i would say for looks and protect the front edge of the hood? But i like mine on my Jeep from time to time. As for dirt and debris getting under it when wheeling, when tight enough it makes a pretty good seal from dirt dust and mud. the bra material is waterproof, but when water seeps in from the edges it recommended to remove the bra and let everything dry, so that the moisture does not mess up the paint on the hood.
