The centercap sits far away from wheel has anyone modified it to sit flush

not that ive heard of...the only "mod" i have heard of being done to the rockstar center cap is it being taken off or it being crushed off by rocks

it sticks away from wheel about 2 inches, you can see lug nuts and behind it

I've been researching the exact same thing the last couple days. A lot of people out there have modded the center caps to fit flush with the wheel.

You need to do a couple things...
1. cut down the plastic posts that hold the hex screws
2. cut down the hex screws by the same amount
3. (optional) paint the stars black

I plan on making the center caps flush to the wheel when I get them.

thanks that is what i was thinking just wondering how much to trim if someone did it 3/4 or 1 inch

read that a guy did 1 1/4 inches, but I think they use the same center for all different wheel sizes/bolt patterns/offsets. So i guess it depends on how much they're floating from your rim. If they're stick out 1 1/2 inches than you could start with 1 inch, see how you like it then keep trimming till your happy...repeat for the other remaining center caps.

One of my coworkers did that to his rockstars he purchased lastweek....loooks way beetter. He used a dremel. I pick up my rockstars tomorrow and plan to do the same this wknd.
