rear light install on Mopar bumper
LED lights 2 1/2 " from local part supplier = $24.00, 3" drill bit= $20.00, electrical wire= $3.00, 1 hour time. Good lighting for working behind jeep, hooking up straps, trailers etc. at night or in low light situations. If they get busted, they just pop out of rubber mounts and have quick wire disconnects so you can just pop some new ones in. I got the idea after looking at a utility trailer with similar lights.
Got mine here: hXXp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110645136740&viewitem=

I haven't wired them yet, but that's not too hard.
I went with these lights versus the original truck stop ones I bought due to depth. The LED lights are very thin. This became an issue after I cut my holed and realized the bumper isn't an even thickness from one side to the other. Crawl under your pumper and look up, you'll see what I mean. The front side of the pumper has some "cut outs" that make it thinner in the middle than out at the sides.
I did all this at the same time that I chopped my pumper down. So it took longer than it should have.

I really like this idea. I've been thinking about an aftermarket bumper/tire carrier and decided to go with one with the lights in the bumper. But with this option maybe I can save some $$ go with the OR-Fab tire carrier and install the lights into the stock bumper. Man I love this forum. Great job
