Does anyone know any info on the River Raider Cummins 4bt conversion kit?

 

There is some good info on the River Raider web site. Check the FAQ section also. Ive seen a few of these conversions in jk's, very nice!

 

check out this web page www.jeepyard.com/ it has all info you need about the 4bt cummins conversion;(they manufacture it and sell it to RR) this conversion is amazing. i would take it over a hemi conversion any day!

I think Jeff Daniels did the 4bt swap for them...

I saw it at a show and apparently it can be street legal here in PA if you retitle your vehicle as a specialty vehicle or rebuilt vehicle or something like that. There was a guy with a TJ thats street legal here in PA running the 4bt and he said on his worst day, he still gets 24 mpg.

To bad the KIT alone is $10k! Then you need an engine and tranny.

 

I believe the kit is $9500, not including the engine or tranny. $25-30k installed.

 

i have been to the river raider shop and they told me 20-21k installed.

 

Was that with a used engine or a rebuilt crate engine? If its a crate engine that's a good price. I was quoted $25-30 by Jeff's Jeep Yard for a reman crate engine and a nv4500 tranny.
