Rust on bumper
Okay so I bought a bumper from quadratec. Iv had it on my jeep for a little over a year. It's a fab fours stubby with grill guard that came powder coated. It shipped and packed really well and I received it with no damage. It's starting to show some rust on the welds now. I called fab fours and talked to them and they asked for pictures and i sent some. I heard back from them within 30 minutes for what they would do for me. They gave me three option here they are. These our case by case. And my rust is not that bad
The first option is to receive a discount off of the bumper for $250.00. Since you have already purchased the bumper we would actually write you a check and have it mailed to you.
The second option is if you would like to have the bumper re-coated we could help cover that cost. We would have you get an estimate first and send it over to us via email or fax.
The last option is to return the bumper and have it replaced with a new one.
I'm taking the new bumper and I'm going to see how it holds up. If in a year I see the same thing I'll take the cheek and fix it with bed liner. I'd like to know what you would have done.
Fab Fours really made me feel good about buying there Products. I highly recommend them. I will be getting a rear bumper from them in the near future. Here are some pictures of mine

X2 ... I would have taken the check for my troubles then hit it with some rust reformer (rustoleum product) and then the whole thing with some rustoleum bedliner. I've used both products for years with great results.
Yeah i'm going to assume that this will occur again. Next year I'll just take the check. They told me that they will stand behind the new bumper like it's my first from when I receive it. I'll just take it off and put the new one on now and next year if this happens I'll take it off and paint it my self.
Ok I have a question that I have wanted to ask and after reading this thread, I think it fits here.
I'm shopping for my mods now and I have been wondering if I should get sliders, bumpers etc. powder coated or paint them myself ?
Most company's offer unfinished products.
Also has any one tried Line Ex for a Finnish on these parts, and how did it hold up if you have tried it ?
