It's sad to say that most of the JKs around here will never see dirt. As far as chrome grills, I haven't seen too many. All black on mine.

Agreed, can't say I have seen any with chrome. All black other then the paint here. Jeep doesn't look bad though minus the chrome.

I won't make it a point to try to jam up my JK, but I'll use it for 4wd if I need it

My dealer tried to sell me on a 2wd right hand drive X when I bought my X. Said it'd be "unique" ! (They had one on the lot). I told hima 5 assed monkey was unique as well!

dealer tried the same with me, trying to get me in a 2wd for a deal......... i say hell with that, i want the whole enchilada, turned out the had a silver, my current, came in under special order and the guy didnt want it or what ever, so i got a better deal for it instead.

There is a large market for 2WD SUV's in the southern USA. Except for those that drive off-road, there is really no need for 4WD down here. When I lived in Edmonton all my trucks were 4WD due to snow, but here, no worries about that annoyance. I've owned a Ford Explorer, Chevy Tahoe, and Jeep Commander, all two-wheel drives.

With the chrome and 2wd it is handicaped,, so it can legally park there,, right??

I guess if you never drive in snow or mud and dont off-road 4wd is useless.. but here in Ne PA even front wheel drives with snow tires cant get up the hills in jan.. and I wave as I pass by..

they sold a lot of 2wd jeeps here in Mexico, mostly to rental companies at the beach, I rented one a while back, and I thought it was great for that purpose.
