Level 8 Trackers (16x8.5).

This is when they were still new and shiny:

Wheels are 16x8. Tires are 35x12.5x16. Rails are Rampage retractables.

good evening from Afghanistan to everyone (yup, deployed)!

i have a question about a wheel/tire combo i am looking to do to my new 2012 JKU S (wife picked up today in NC). I have dug around this site and other and online distributors too but would like a concensous of those here.

Looking at getting ATX Artillary 17x9 in black teflon and run 285/75R17 tires. seems like lots are running similar set ups with no issues. However, i am also reading on sites that recommend 265/65R17 tires for this wheel. True? False?

Anyone care to share any thoughts on this?? looking to only run a TF 2.5" BB for now to support.

thanks,
H

You can run those tires fine (285/75) or even larger if you want. I have 315/75 on mine with those wheels. I have 3" of lift with cut flares with a tremendous amount of clearance.
