Default Show your front tinted windows! question for NJ residents!!!

Hey guys! I'm really wanting to tint my front windows, but here in NJ there is a no tint law.

For all the NJ residents, do you get pulled over/hassled a lot?? All the help appreciated.

SHOW THE TINTS!!!

thanks

Jon

NJ resident here with 5% tint. I'm also a paid EMT and receive professional courtesy usually from PD. Never had an issue yet. Knock on wood...

I've lived in NJ all my life & tinted all my windows on my jeeps and cars & never got a ticket. The few times i did get pulled over for other offenses, I immediately lower all the windows to make the officer feel safer approaching the vehicle. Never got a ticket.
You will not pass NJMV inspection though...you need to find a private inspection shop that will get you passed.

Here in CA we have laws that don't allow tinited windows either but they don't seem to be too worried about them mostly they'll pull you over for lack of mud flaps.

We had a tint shop match the factory tint of the rear windows and hardtop so it doesn't stand out too much but it does help to cut the temperature inside the cab.

I wonder what they would say if you try to go get a state inspection with no doors on I may have to do this just to F#$@K with the jackasses that work at the inspection station...

Here's mine in NC... I don't get any troubles here with 20% but like others have said, I usually roll my windows down just so the officers don't have anything to worry about. As far as inspections here, same as Jersey I guess in the fact that I have to take it to a private place... no issues yet and this is my 4th tinted vehicle. Good luck!
