I'm hard top or no top haha. Yes it is wood frame and MDF. I cut it all pretty close and used weather stripping to keep it from hacking my interior up.

Well, here is my storage solution. Not exactly a "trunk" but it serves my needs to lock up my winch controller and recovery gear, with room to spare. The back panel is tapered to match the lean of the back seat to maximize space and I can still access the factory storage cubby.

Actually, it was built by a local guy who makes and sells boxes on ebay. I gave him my specific measurements and he welded it up for me to better utilize the space back there.
