the mud and grass were thick enough to stand on, but the tires just chewed their way through!

I went on a late night wheeling trip one night. The guy i was with got stuck in the mud (silver jeep in the background). He was sitting on the axles. I tried pulling from the front and the back and had no luck getting him out. Tugged and pulled from the front and back for almost an hour. I figured maybe I could try pulling sideways just to get something under the tires. As soon as I backed up to him I found a deep rut and my rear bumper got wedged between a tree stump and a tree limb. the ground was wet and i could not move at all. So now we are both stuck. at 12:30am Great! Had to call a guy in our local jeep club to come winch us out. I bought a winch 3 days later. What better excuse?

She was the one driving. I drove around in the Ga snow for 3 days with no problems. She borrows the Jeep for 20 minutes and I find it like this.
