Default Smittybilt SRC Side Armor

Just installed the smittybilt src side armor rails last night! I was initially fearful because of all the bad press about the driver side not fitting correctly and modification required. That was not the case for me. The driver side was definitely a tight fit, it took me about 35 minutes to get it lined up and screwed in, but luckily no modification required. Passenger side went on in less than 10 minutes.

I love mine! I was run into a guardrail by a tow truck and the SRC side armor took the blow and there was not a single scratch on the body!

Glad you had an easy installation , my first pair were a pain in butt to install. Luckily the towing companies insurance had to pay for the new set to be installed.

I really wish they would have used the third mounting spot instead of just the two, but with all of the quality control problems I've heard about I don't think any of them would fit lol. I do think adding a middle bracket would make them even more sturdier and resilient, maybe make the bracket holes a little larger so there's more wiggle room to get then attached.
