Great Looking Jeep! I was the same at first on the color, but I really like it now, and my wife loves it. I have seen a post on here where a guy made his hardtop/door holders. You might be able to search it. Hope this helps.

The color was literally the biggest selling point for me. After choosing the color, I told the salesman to find me an Unlimited version with a hard top... And the sale was made.

I live in a beach town, so blues and yellows seem to be the hottest things around. I joined here thinking that Surf Blue was going to be one of the most popular colors, but apparently not. After doing a search, I found a slew of Haterade filled threads. It confused the hell out of me, but I'm forgetting that most Jeep guys are into the more mountainous and woodsy trails (greens, neutral silvers/whites/blacks). I live on the beach, making Surf Blue the only real choice of color.

It's funny at first on Jeep's website I did not care for this blue. But now I really think it's cool and it has grown on me! Good color choice!

Yup living in FL this is definitely a great color to have being so near the water no matter what coast you live on. Can't wait for the weather to warm up for some beach cruising!

Wait wait hang on.

I was stopped at the gas station when I got it and was asked "How the hell did you get a Rubicon in this color and with a hard top?" I said I was having trouble finding one and thought I even heard somwhere that for 2010 Surf blue Rubicons were unavailable due to the Islander coming?. Like I said before I have been shopping for a long time and really wanted a Surf but couldn't find one so my Backup was Flame Red ...

Well Flame became just about impossible to find and was going to get my old tried and true White. ... Juuust like every other vehicle I had. The Day I went to have the dealer get the stone white one from another dealer in state, We tried the locator one last time as I just did the night before and had no luck then so why now? Bingo it was found as it was being logged into inventory out of state. Almost like the 7 tooth God was smiling down upon me.

For giggles I just now went and built my own on the Jeep website and sure enough ..... Try and build a Surf Blue Rubicon and add the dual top option .... NO GO? The guy was right! Just cannot be done. Cool as hell I say. Is there any truth to what I am finding about availability or is this all in coincidence?

It has grown on me a lot as well. It looks way better in person. I apologize for my previous "smurf blue" comments. Now, where are all the modded surf blue's out there? I'd love to see some with big ass tires and lifts, etc. I can just picture a surf blue 2 door on 40s looking badass, everything on it black and blue, nothing shiny.

Since I just picked mine up a few weeks ago, mine's all stock. It isn't going to be all that wild, anyway, but it'll be better. Tires are on the truck for delivery as I type.

2-door Sport, BTW.

In the last month or so, I have seen Surf Blue Jeeps everywhere. I thought they had killed the color? Anyway, I guess the color has caught on. I love mine that is for sure.
