I wish I had the half doors too but according to the sticker it isn't even part of the Islander Package. I think it's just great marketing because it looks awesome on Jeeps website. I will definitely be saving my money for them though.

I love my Surf Blue Jeep! When I went down to the dealership last September, I had intended to buy the Orange JKU. I never even seen the Surf Blue before. It was never on their website. I think the Surf Blue replaced the Orange mid year or something like that. But once I saw it, I knew I had to have it. My 06 Toyota Tacoma that I traded was the exact same color and I was actually a little sad to be parting with that unique color. The Surf Blue Jeeps are far and few between to find on the streets. Ironically enough though, within 5 days of me buying my Jeep, I was returning to my office building from lunch and pulled into a parking spot only to come face to face with another Surf Blue Jeep(hey hinkebein). I actually thought I pulled up to a mirror for a second.

What size tires and wheels are you running?

 

325/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers (considered a 33") on 18x9 Liquid Metal Rhino (from Discount Tire Direct). You can go with the same Pro Comp wheel that everyone has, or you can save a few hundred bucks and get a similar wheel that literally nobody has (other than the one Jeep guy I found on the internet after searching for weeks.) I went with a short and wide tire since sand traction is most important to me (not climbing over mountains) and I wanted to keep highway undergearing at a minimum..

 

I made it from leaf guard stuff I bought @ Home Depot. Cut it to fit with my wife's Kitchen aid scissors and tie blocked and zip tied in place using .... blue zip ties. Total cost $12.00

 

Recently added the Mopar tube side steps.

Got her all naked too.
