Problem 1: Took the back seat out of my 2 door and built a secure box out of 3/4" plywood and added a powered 10" sub and barely have room for the upper halves of my half doors. Problem 2: All my ammo cans are FULL! Sooo... NO PROBLEM. Thanks for the solutions though. Another good one!

Here is a pic of one I mounted up, I do have two but took the pic before I added the other beside it, I used the smaller 7.62 ammo cans, also cut off the loop on the front and handle off the top because they rattled but all good now, I bolted mine right to the door to some delrin spacer pucks I spun up on the lathe

I had something similar to that setup, and I ended up removing it as it took up a surprising amount of the storage space behind the seats. Also, I'd stick something back there and the cans ended up hitting it so that the tailgate would not close.

I have a two door jk and have been thinking about moding up a try to hold my cans above the wheel well area, my sons the only person that sits back there and it wouldn't interfere with his room, give him an added arm rest if anything!! I'm gonna have to get a move on my idea now and I'll share it soon!!

You could think about mounting them on top of the wheel wells. Still have rear storage.

That's a damn good idea! It's just wasted space there, & all of us 2-door drivers know how valuable space in the rear is when we're packing stuff back there. Will look into this as I have a few old .50cal tins sitting around in my shed gathering dust, though maybe the 7.62 ones might be a better fit?
