I'm thinking of attempting this. Was it difficult to make the cuts at the front of the fender where it meets the body?

It is actually very easy to slide the fenders up and out without breaking the clips. If you take a pair of pliers, I used electricians pliers because they have a flat head, and you rotate the clips left or right they come undone from the under panel an the fender lifts out. To reattach just reverse the process to clip back in. I didn't remove my whole fender just enough to cut the front.

Finally chopped my fronts today. Still need to do some sanding but I like the outcome so far.

need to clean up the front corners, round them out a little, sand them all smoother and add some door trim ... but otherwise, here they are:

the OEM side marker light is zip-tied to the fender brace underneath the fender for now - kept it clean and out of the way.

and here is the tool used to make sure all 4 fenders were the "same", just ran the pencil along the flat of the fender, let the pen draw the line and cut to the bottom of the ink: (Home depot wood pencil, piece of felt 2 zip ties and a black marker... the angle/tightness of the zip ties was adjusted to put the line right where I wanted it)

here you can see the tape and the marker/ink line and how it flows with the fender. I tried taping it off but couldnt make two fenders the same, this way both sides were identical ... until i cut them.
