Finished the remote pickup for OBA...
I was going to install one front and rear and have the hose and fittings, but once I attached the Viair coiled hose it reaches all four corners with ease. I'll be adding a pressure gauge at the end of the hose to make life a little easier.
The pickup is tucked up pretty high and I don't see any rock crawling around here (mostly dirt and beach) so I am not at all worried about tagging it.

I used the engine bay bracket from Sinister FabWorks. Plumbed from the compressor to the remote pickup with the plan to add the tank in a few weeks..maybe. As it is, it takes just under 3 minutes to go from 10lbs to 30lb ride pressure, which is fine. I don't know how much faster the tank would make it so I am still on the fence with that. Some of the places I go have air available at the trail-head, but you can be fifteen or twenty deep waiting for a hose, so twelve minutes isn't a big deal. Time to shake the sand out of stuff and button down all the gear for the trek home.

Did some el chepo mods:
-6 ball shifter knob. Bought it at some creepy pool hall on the bad side of town for $4.25. Drilled it out with a 5/8 drill bit. The hole was a little big so I had to pad it a bit for a tight fit and then I threw some glue in there for good measure. I love it, fits perfect in my hand.
-bought 200' of 3/8 black general purpose rope at a local surplus store for 15 cents a foot to make a home brew cargo net (dog retention net). I did some google searching on how to make a rope net and just figured it out as I went along. I drilled a notch in the tire carrier to secure the rope snuggly against the tailgate and keep it from sliding up the carrier. Took about 4.5 hours total to get it the way I wanted but I am happy with the results and the dogs love it! I used every last foot of it. I need to buy more to keep them from getting into the front.
-not sure how much I like this one but it only cost $6 and some zip ties: I couldn't find shade material anywhere so I got "varmit deterrent" netting" (for a garden) and made myself a shade topper. I may toss it but for now it works pretty good. I got burned really bad riding around without the top and no shade...
-RR armrest booster. I love this thing, 100% better! I have a 1hr commute so it is a life saver.
-vent mirrors to catch those blind spots and stay legal when doors are off.
-whew! Sorry long post!
