What was done to your JK this week?

I've never had my electric fan stay on after shutdown, even when the water temperature was calling for it to be on.
The transmission has always come right up to 80°F, even when it was below zero here. So, I don't see over cooling as an issue with the transmission. 80°F is the temperature at which normal shifting resumes. I'll know for sure if this makes a difference this winter.
Even with an aux cooler, the trans temp will climb when in traffic and off road, due to reduced air flow through the grill. This will keep the air flowing into and out of the engine bay. It's bound to keep everything a lot cooler.
I'll know after a few tankfuls if there is a significant increase in gas consumption.
So far, it looks like the intent of this mod is being accomplished: lowering the overall temperature of everything that generates heat, and forcing that heat out of the engine bay.
I won't see any possible negative effects until it's been installed a while, and at least through a winter.
Positive and negative will receive equal time in future reports.
Makes sense. I'm curious about the overall performance and fuel economy. It seems to me that for hot weather and lots of heavy city traffic there should not be significant difference. However, for cooler climates and more road drives it will likely increase fuel consumption.
Thanks for sharing your experience and please keep us posted! :-)
