Picked up some project D44 front axles from a guy who pulled them from the junkyard. One for mine, nut sue what I'll do with the other.

Extended both axle breathers and transfer case breather..recut and repainted front and rear fenders (because the fronts kept coming off when going through deep water)...changed diff fluid (no water inside)...straightened out and repainted crushed in rocker panel...added a couple decals...put on just under 1000 miles over thanksgiving and spent way too much on gas..then I washed it :cool face:

Where is the tranny breather located? I've read that it comes out by the firewall where the manifold is. I looked at my rig this weekend and did not see anything back there? I have a 2007 though.

Well that depends...if you're and auto such as myself I don't believe there is a breather...on manuals I think it entails removing the shifter boot. But since I'm an auto I'm really not sure. I bet it's a Google search away though!! My transfer case breather was rather elusive though...it comes up right behind the engine and sits about a foot below the cowl I feel like a lot of water splashes around there and could possibly get sucked in through the breather tube..

Ok, the Tranny breather (at least with the Auto) is directly between the back of engine and firewall, go down something like 4-6" and it should be there. At least that was the case with my '11 and my buddies '05 when we extended all 4 breather tubes on ours. My tranny and t-case breather were in the same spot and separated about
1-2.5" from each other.

On the auto there is NO breather..... The breather hose behind the engine is the one that comes off ur transfer case, not ur transmission.... I have a river raider breather extention kit..... If u have an auto all u need to do is the front and rear differentials and ur transfer case
