What was done to your JK this week?
Yea it worked out pretty well. It isn't quite as bright as the stock one but it is right in the line-of-site of anyone behind so it still works great. I flush cut the factory bracket off and sanded it smooth before retouching the paint. This is kinda important because this area is more visible once this real estate is opened. I used a 3 1/2" wide by 12" long piece of 10g(1/8") aluminium. With my rim the bend was put at 4 5/8" from the top. I cut the bottom off at 3". Drilled thru holes in the new mount and drilled and tapped three M5 holes in the carrier. The light called for a 2 5/8" hole, but I used a 2 1/2" hole saw and it worked perfectly! Tech-tip... Warm the aluminium before you bend it. The piece I got had a high silicate level, (as most cheap stuff does), and I was worried it would crack. Steel would be no problem but I didn't have any.
So a few weeks ago I took delivery of my 3.5 Rock Krawler Lift and 4 Fox Shocks and 5 35X12.50 17 Falken Tires. Then I was told by work that I had to go to Germany for two weeks. Pretty bummed out. I had to cancel getting my lift put on... My wife tells me I can do it when I get back.
Well long story short, she picks me up at the airport. We drive home and this beauty is in the drive way! She even picked out the Fuel Offroad wheels and had them put on for me! I'm a lucky man! Enjoy the pics!
