Default Hood latch replacement

Hi guys, I bought the Rampage locking hood latches and it looks like the bottom piece has one bolt holding it on in a very tight place. I was wondering who has replaced the, and if you had any hints as to how not to lose the nut let alone loosening or tightening the new one.

Thanks

I installed AEV wheels and Nitto Terra Grapplers 305/70/17, Rugged Ridge duel exit exhaust and Hot Heads headliner and Sprint Booster. I was hoping to get to my Rampage hood locks but that looks like a bitch to get to the nut for the lower piece.

Looks great! I have the Bushwackers to install. Did yours require you to trim the inner fender liner? I only have had the Jeep three days and am hesitant to cut on it just yet.

Did a Coast 1310 front driveshaft on my 2012 this afternoon. Took about 3 hours from start to having all tools cleaned up with a quick trip to advance auto parts for some thread locker half way through.

Install was painless with the right tools including a good impact gun for the pinion nut. Can't imagine getting the nut loose with a conventional socket, it took everything my air compressor had.
