I finally switched out my front Jeep Emblem. My black and white scheme is really coming together.

Noob question....do you have to realign the gears after the locker install? I am decently competent in DIY projects, but don't want to screw up my diff and wanted to know if I can do this myself. If I have to realign all the gears, I will bring it to a shop .

All you need is...
-Some soft rags that can be used on cars(like 1 or 2 of them)
-Denatured Alcohol
-30 LB fishing line

Its like 35 degrees where I live right now so no need to heat anything up.

Just take the fishing line and go at the letters using a saw like motion.
Then apply the Denatured Alcohol and scrub all the residue off using the rags.
Easy as that!

With a "lunchbox locker" like an Aussie, Spartan, or Lock-Rite, you just replace the spider gears with the locker gears in the carrier. As long as you mark the ring gear location on the carrier and keep the bearing races and caps on the right sides, you don't have to mess with setting up gears.
