Because then u can't secure it in the middle if the slots and it would flap in the breeze and won't lie flat from one end to the other. Sure u might be able to finagle a tie under neither the mesh but I'm sure it's much easier just to see cut each one.
Now lets see his response. Hehe

Mild, little, cheap, but cool. I cut off the flat sides of the lever, found some 3/8" nuts, roughened up the shift post, notched it, epoxied it on. Worked perfectly.

Modified my BestTop Bakini top. I was tired of the cheap velcrow straps. I cut em off and inserted brass grommets @ all the existing tie down points. I had to shorten the rear as my Hi-Lift is mounted on the crossmember. I secured everything with canopy straps. The top fits much tighter....and tighter is ALWAYS better.

Fixed rear seat belt flutter with top off
Bought some 15 inch black velcro cable ties from amazon... this things really come in handy.
No more seat belt noise!
Also did it on the front. Good alternative to tucking the belt behind the plastic.
Also added grab handles.
And a stubby antenna. All purchased from amazon.
