What was done to your JK this week?
Just installed it yesterday, but so far so good. Rides much better than stock, the bilsteins are great, and got some good height. I have a JKS adjustable front track bar to go on as well, but that'll have to wait. The stock bar seems to be doing fine at the moment.
AND, it didn't break the bank 👍

Start of the project......

Boys wanted to "help" so I had to stop drinking / cussing / throwing things.....

AEV directions are NOT clear when you have an AEV bumper already installed. Several hours of installing tire carrier just to find out that no matter what bumper you have, it has to come off so you can drill 2 dang holes!! (Note - the two 18mm bolts inside the frame. the one closest to you is a biatch to tighten! Make sure you have a 12-point 18mm open end due to the tight space after everything is in place!)

Holes drilled, bumper on, with new tanks, tire carrier spindle, and mouting plates in place. This is a view of the water tank hose that connects each tank. Not to keen on having it here but thats where AEV says to run it...

This is the driver side view. These bolts were no problem to tighten. Under no circumstance should you install the "L" bracket OR the bolts for the water tanks until the bumper / tire carrier bolts are tight as you can't get to them. Don't follow the directions at this step.

Everything under the Jeep is on / aligned / and tight! Gas Caddy partially installed. (installer note - Be prepared to install / remove spare tire about 10+ times!)

calling it quits. Finally got the tire carrier, Gas Caddy, and bumper back on and aligned.

Installed the Pull-Pal / Hi-Lift mount this morning. Nothing special here. Two "U" bolts (which I put heat shrink on to black them out and not scuff up the tire carrier tubes)

One thing to learn from this. AEV sucks at writing instructions. They say to read and understand before starting project. OK. no problem. But if you don't know what a "dilly-whopper" bracket is or a 1/2" 13 bolt is, you kinda have to figure it out as you go! Even the cheapest crappiest furniture from Tiawan has pictures of the hardware telling you what it is. Just sayin'. I love that it was made in the USA, but it could have used a bit more on the instructions.
One draw back on the Hi-Lift mount. there is no way to lock your valuable jack or god forbid, the arm and a leg pull-pal.... Should have incorporated a locking mechanism in addition to the threaded knob that holds both items on.....
This thing is ROCK SOLID and wouldn't have any other bumper / tire carrier combo on my JK.
I freakin love this bumper / carrier system!!!
