Dipped my grill today. Was going to do the grill mesh mod while it was off too, but I misplaced a bag of my tie strap anchors. Save that up for tomorrow I guess. Love the look. I used to have to only white Jeep in my town, and now there are at least 3 others, so I had to change it up a bit... Eventually going to bedline all that I have plastidipped. It's a great way to try out the look before you go full out.

I am not a big fan of chrome so I went to Auto Zone and bought some color matched Flame Red spray paint and painted the trim pieces inside my new 2014 Rubicon. it makes the trim pieces really pop. I also picked up some black high heat paint and painted my muffler and tail pipe.

I used a primer and a clear coat as well. As long as you let it completely dry between coats it should be fine. I did the same thing to my 2010 as well and had no issues. Today I did the sound bar speaker covers and the rear subwoofer cover too. Did not get a picture of that yet though.

It's just rocker guard vinyl from the Auto Parts store.... I just cut it and put it together on the hood. It's a real nice matte black. Cuts down the glare off the bright white hood in your eyes so you can avoid the 'snow blindness'. I may order the one like the Arctic has, but for $12 for a 25 foot roll, this stuff works.
I used to use this stuff for everthing before I discovered Plastidip... It ends up looking the same way in the end. Plastidip is just way easier. No cutting, or air bubbled to worry about.
I even did the deck lid and stripes on my old Intrepid. As you can see, it just looks the same as Plastidip does nowadays....

The only bad part is that I think it must shrink a bit after a year or so. You can see the seams on the hood now from the right angle.. But it still looks OK. Maybe I meant for it to look like that... lol.

Those look great just keep in mind that if you are really flexing out your rig they will pull on that windshield frame. I learned that the hard way. They work great for trail rides but any crawling and I would pull them off.
