Yes I want to buy a set but I don't know if I should go all black or red rings since I'm going with the silver and black with red accents

I've lusted after the ATX Slabs since I saw them on one of the way of life rigs, I talked to my favorite local 4x4 shop and technically bead lock rims are illegal in my state, folks say that some mechanics will let it slide at inspection time, but at $399 x 5! Really adds up

I'm thinking there is no reason I see why you couldn't just remove the beadlock ring just for inspection, I mean its not like the tires gonna fall off right?

First world problems.
They look great silver. I just have red accents so I would go red. Nice looking wheels though. Possibly my next set.
Im just running the MT classic lock II's now and it really pops with red rings. I get a lot of looks and compliments with my bead protectors...aka fake bead locks.

Umm, yeah. They're held on by the rings. Keep your stock wheels and tires for inspection time IMO.

In all honesty, most inspection guys are looking to make sure the tires are safe. As in tread wear, belts showing, etc.... Unless that type of wheel is a real common issue in ur area, I'd say chance it. If they do notice and fail the wheels, go home, swap out the stock stuff and go back. It doesn't cost extra. Just time.

Ok, I've never seen any pictures without the ring, so I thought it was like a regular rim and you mounted the rings after the tire was mounted

So your saying without the ring the tire just rolls right off of the rim?

Is there a ring on the other side of the rim?

I installed mine a week back and used it to pull down a half fallen tree on the trail. It's working great so far
