It's pretty simple. Mine are made with metal gutter guards from lows. Cut into strips to fit behind the slots. I have zip tie blocks guerrilla glued to my grill in between the slots. The strips are then zip tied to the blocks. All this stuff can be found at a local hardware store and done for about $20 not including paint. There are tons of threads on here over it. Just search grill mod and they will come up. As for the color mine are powder coated but only because I have the stuff to do it. Paint will hold just fine as my last set (black) held up with no chips for almost 2 years. Any order questions pm me

They are made by American Outlaw, got them from Quadratec. A must have for a clumsy f**k like myself. American Outlaw DP-1 - American Outlaw EZ On Door Pin Guides for 07-14 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

Took the front bumper off, removed the plastic shell, cut the ends off the metal and reinstalled. The plan is to close up the ends with scrap metal, as well as the fog light openings where I'll re-mount the OEM fogs or just go with some 2x2 or 3x3 LEDs, and then bedline.
Far from a permanent solution, and will look better after it's finished, but will serve just fine as a free stubby for now.
