I'll have to dig up some pics, but basically I just chopped it with a sawsall.... Both of my end pices had been smashed in a bit and couldn't be popped back into shape, so I just said ****it... I took the outer plastic shell off and cut the metal inner-bumper to make sure it was shorter than the outer one. Last step was to add some bolts to the end to keep it from rattling.

Added the Cool Tech mount for the Cobra CB, Modified it with a piece of Lexan, and Velcro. Phone Mount. Used the top two holes to attach, works great.

How did you color the outside of your air vents? What type of paint did you use? And how did you make it look so good with no paint run lines? And how did you get the paint so nearly into the wording jeep and make it look like it was always white?

Made some cargo nets for new tube doors to match the cargo net I made for the rear. Complete with tactical bags for each door.

Thanks! Turns out I'm pretty good with wires and rattle cans haha. The vents are easy to take out, just a1/4 turn counterclockwise and they come out, then the bezels are just 4 plastic clips. I used duplicolor perfect match spray paint and a wheel gloss clear coat for its durability. The key to painting most things and especially plastics is to use very light coats at first, the first 2 coats should be more of a dusting, then two good base coats, then two clear coats. All coats should be applied 10-15 minutes apart depending on temperature and humidity. Just takes practice. Also, when using rattle cans you start spraying before the object and don't release until after.

You can see the clips in the top right of this picture, pop them off carefully with a full knife or small screwdriver
