Today I bought the hood latches for the 08 JK and put them on my 07, just waiting for the recall to get my money back.

 

I thought it was 09 hood latches we want? My 08 lifts @ highway speed and big time when I get a good gust!

My mod for the week - added project JK fender stickers. Next week OME and JKS track bars.

I put on my new Rock Hard bumper and tire carrier, put in the extension on my Mega Warrior, and came up with a cheap solution to my 3rd brake light.

 

Nope, I took my 09 in for the recall on the hood latches,
I got the new ones, and the hood lifts exactly the same as it did with the original ones.

(From what I understand the recall on the 09 latches isnt to make them stronger, it was because of a concern that the rubber on the original ones could fail completely)

I'm going to reinstall the zap ties and be done with it.

I just loaded mine into my Jeep along with my Superwinch 9.0 and my IPF 968 to be installed with a fellow forum member tomorrow night. The bumper just arrive this evening.
