I prefer the look of a flat fender. Was going to cut mine, then went with Bushwacker flat fender flares. BUT, I did it for more than looks. I am certain I would have ripped a stock flare off last weekend while wheeling.
If you'e going to wheel it at all, and you prefer the flat look, then cut them. IMHO.

Not a fan of the cut fender look. It looks, well, cut up to me. I like flat fenders or bushwackers though. If you are going to flex into your wheel wells without proper bump stops and or taller/wider tires you have to cut them or put flats on. But if you run the right sized tires, wheels/spacers and bump stops for your lift then you should never rub your fenders. If you are just wondering about looks, them it's whatever looks good to you. That's what makes owning a wrangler great, it's your own artistic vision.
