I finally upgraded the tires on my personal Jeep!

From the stock 29" Wrangler ST on 16" steel wheels to 33x12.5x15 Duratracs on 15x8 Black Rock D-Window Alloy wheels (4" backspacing).

Can't wait to see how much better the traction is off road. I need to plan a day trip to the local off road park soon. I already have a weekend trip to the sand dunes planned for later this summer. These should climb up the dunes much better than the stock street tires

Silly question but serious. When I get my new tires I need to know.

Can you haul 5 35/1250/17s in a 2door?

Topless and with ratchet straps, probably 4 inside. If they're already mounted, you can put the spare on the back. I was able to fit 3 mounted 35x12.5s inside with the seat folded. Two were upright with the third sticking out of the top. Take the seat out, and you should be able to fit 4 with the fifth on the spare. Or just take two trips and not look suspicious driving down the road.

Aw crap. I mis-looked-at his original picture. I didn't see the pic edge that showed a back door (aka 4dr aka JKU).

So like you say: topless seat out can probably go 3 across. 4th strapped on top of those. What about that super strong, fancy (kidding) hood mounted hook between the windshield rubber numbers? (What do we actually call that by the way?)

Kidding because in my old TJ I broke that plastic sucker barely tying down a kayak. DONT JUDGE ME (and my stupidity).

You should be able to fit three without stacking, then put one on top like this (looking down from the top)
I . l===l . I
I . Ll . Ll . I

Drawing like letters didn't turn out like I thought it would haha! And yeah, that loop is supposedly there to tie the windshield down if you ever folded the windshield, but I don't think it would hold up to any weight

Believe it or not, I follow that diagram 👴

Will definitely post pics when I make the haul.

I recently was lucky enough to win a fusion 4x4 1ton aluminum tie rod. Had a day off work today so got it thrown on. It's very nicely made. Big improvement over my worn out stocker, plus it looks good!
