Do you have previous experience with off-road tires or tires with a more aggressive tread pattern?
Nittos are fairly notorious around here for being rather heavy tires. A lot of that is due to the sidewalls.
I'm running 29psi on the road on my 35 Nitto trail grapplers.
Yes they ride a little rough. 29 is probably even a little higher than I want to be.
Maybe for some ride softening and definitely for even tread wear, you may want to try lower pressures. If you're not familiar with it, Google the "tire tread chalk test" and you can get a really good idea of how to find optimum pressure for even tread wear.
Standard auto and tire shops are also notorious for inflating to the door sticker pressures which usually seems WAY to high.

Thank you, yes I am familiar with them, just not these specific tires. I will try to decrease the psi and hopefully that will help! I had a 4x4 shop install them so I thought they would do the psi for what I was going to use them for, but I guess not. Thank you for your help!
Still 39 sounds high in general but it may indeed be perfect for your size. Chalk test can help.
You may also find that Nittos don't necessarily hit the top of any charts for ride comfort

I have a new JKU and don't want to take this jeep off road but, I want the rough look. I put on Nitto Trail grapplers this week and they seem to be too hard on the road. I know I'm going to loose money but, does anyone know if the Duratracs would be a better option? I'm worried that with the Nittos they are eventually gonna make things loosen up in my jeep and I'm going to have problems. Anyone have experience with something like this? I do not have any mods on my jeep just the tires now.
I'm running 315/70 R17 Duratacs and couldn't be happier. They are quieter than the stock Rubicon BF Goodrich's. I'm not tearing it up off road, but they did great in the sand at Pismo Beach.

New 4.88 Yukon gears. Artec truss. C gussets. Synergy ball joints. MC HD steer kit. MC game changer 3.5" coils. MC adj control arms. PS Diff covers. Back up lights cut into MC bumper. 37x12.50 Grabbers. Fuel trophy 17" wheels. MC Hardline fenders. MC fender liners. Been a busy couple weeks. Should be finished up next week.

Pulled the fron D30, removed all steering crap including the gear box, had my ProRock 44 Unlimited delivered. I need to get my steering gear box down to West Texas Offroad to be drilled and sent back with the Redneck Ram Assist kit. Dropped off new TPMS sensors at the local tire shop where my wheels are resting, the 37x13.5-18 Cooper STT Pro tires are supposed to arrive Friday.
