Talking Wrangler 101- A New Jeep DVD for 2009

At Camp Jeep 2001 I cracked a joke at the Engineering Roundtable about getting the instruction video in DVD with director commentary (TJ's came with a VHS. The engineer's reply was don't hold your breath. Glad I didn't, because it took eight years!

This had been rumored since last summer, but has finally come out recently. An instructional DVD titled "Wrangler 101... A quick introduction to the technology and features of your new Jeep Wrangler." The DVD is packaged with the owner's manuals on recent builds.

The soft top instructions are the same as that found on Jeep.com. My personal favorite is the section on how to lock your doors- or unlock them, if you find yourself trapped inside.

Another scoop? That makes JK-Forum 4, the 'other guys' ZIP.

Here's the disc & packaging:

And here are a few screen shots:

there should be a test before you're allowed to buy a Jeep... and if you don't know the basics of "Winshield Wiper/Washer Operation," then you fail... you can pick up your Geo Metro at the used car lot down the street...

I think this is a good thing, especially since the Unlimited has pulled in a lot of first-timers.

oh no, no test to drive a Geo... it's embarrassing enough already... don't need to bring another chance for failure into the mix at that point... plus, the Metro is small and ramp-like, so if you find one crossing over into your lane in a downpour, you can hopefully just go up and over with little to no damage to the JK...

I think I would like to view the DVD and see it there's anything that I've missed. You never know about new and exciting things that pop up.
