Default XD Crank / NItto Trail Grappler spare on tailgate

So, here is a pic of my spare. It's not even touching the bump stops on the tailgate. Is there something I should be buying (larger bump stops that will be long enough to look like black wangs coming out of my tailgate) or are they only there for protection?

Yup, you need Daystar extended bumpstops.

Am I going to have to take the spare off to install? I'm guessing yes and hoping no. LOL

sorry to sideline your thread cuz i have no knowledge of what you need. just wondering if you have a side shot of your jk with the cranks? been liking them since they came out but dont like the fact that the back spacing is only 5 inch. yes its better than stock but wish it was 4.5. i didnt want to run spacers but may end up having to since i am really digging the wheels.

thanks
