Thanks for the pictures guys.

I hate decisions, I love the protection on the sides the src gives but I also love stubby bumpers. I think I'm leaning more towards src though
We're all lucky to have a JK!

I think the side protection / full length vs. stubby, will obviously be your ultimate decision maker....if they were both full length or both stubby....the decision may be more complicated.

If you go with the SRC, you'll save $100, which you can put in the bank and put towards your next mod.

That was my thinking when deciding on a bumper upgrade, i bought my SRC Rear with carrier used and then bought the SRC front and with the money i saved i was able to order the Sides .. work out to be a all around good deal and ended up saving over $200 on all 3 pieces..

ah you guys are killing me I just wanna pull the trigger and get one.

I really like both. I'm still saving up the money for one so I have some time to decide. But I did see an XRC at the dealership today and i'm not gunna lie, it was pretty damn awesome looking. I had never seen one in person till today, I've seen the src though because the only 3 of my friends with 4dr wranglers have that same bumper. Haha maybe I should go against the grain and get the xrc. Who knows.

Thanks for the help. I love this forum. Keep up the picture posting. It's much appreciated and I'll return the favor once I get either one of them!

Hey GreenJK713 you know how the saying goes "opinions are like A**-Holes everyone has one" lol, your jeep is a custom extention of you and when you see the Bumper that makes you go "Oh Baby that it" then you have found the one and that all that matters happy hunting Bro

Get the XRC for the sole reason that three of your friends already have SRCs

I'd spend a little more and get a quality rear bumper/carrier. I have the XRC and I've had some serious issues with it after less than a year of ownership.

1. The welds on the carrier have rusted, and the inner welds are cracking. I pulled the bumper off, sanded and repainted with rustoleum thinking it was only surface rust, and was shocked to see that the welds were totally rusted through. Rust is a normal occurrence yes. But considering that I've yet to drive my Jeep in snow/salt yet with the XRC pisses me off.

2. The latch assembly is 110% garbage. The 'notch' the locking mechanism latches onto is made of soft (crappy) steel and has totally worn down therefore opens up by itself after regular freeway driving. I tried fixing this with some rubber spacers, which I posted on a thread here, but that failed too.

If by chance you don't heed my advice and get this POS. I implore you to coat the entire bumper in thick coats of rustoleum or line-x. Also pick up a small bungee to keep the latch closed. Trust me, you and the people on the freeway will thank me later.

Anyways, I guess the XRC is better than a broken tailgate right?

sarcasm? haha

and bkw thanks for the warning. I'm not getting the rear bumper or any rear bumper for that matter any time soon. But I'll look out for those issues with the XRC if I ever end up looking into it. From what it seems, the front bumper has gotten more praise than the rear but we'll see. Thanks
