Don't be nieve you guys have his address call up the local police in his area tell them your out of state and you want to report a guy whos stealing money online ..... Heres his address this that explain the story and theyll at least go to his house and question him. Ive done it to some asshole before.

Or better yet if you mailed him a checked and he cashed it .......
IT'S CALLED "MAIL FRAUD" WHICH IS A FEDERAL OFFENSE - the mail is done by the federal government
I had a guy who thought he would get away doing the same exact thing....short story ....he didn't !!!
I agree call the cops and have him arrested for MAIL FRAUD !!!!

Just FYI its more fun and usually has a positive result to google all his info (you'd be surprised what you can find with name, address, screenname, myspace, etc.) and post personal adds on CL in the adult section.
You can even post pics of the house from streetview, etc. Always worked for me!

I am sorry to hear someone else got ripped off here. I have had good and bad luck in our for sale section also. I bought some used "1350 JE Reels" driveshaft from a guy that were sopposed to have like 500 miles on them. He sent me two busted 1310 shafts. Une was ok, the other was complete trash. I sent his money paypal so I sent paypal all of our communication and photos of what he sent, etc. They pretty much told me that since he sent me something they couldn't/ wouldn't help. Luckily I used American Express and they did a chargeback on the money. I got 100% of it back and I guess they went after him for the rest.
I used the info I had from him to find photos of him online, his family members names and adresses, phone numbers etc. If you want to send me this guys info that you have on him I would be glad to help you get more info on him if you like. Ill even help make up some flyers to mail his neighborhood telling of the new sexual preditor they have next door. Whatever you want.... I am tired of people ripping others off online.
I went to a detective here to see what options I had about pressing legal charges against him, and they told me that there was no agency to handle these types of problems. No one has the resources and the internet is kinda like the wild west. Sending a check, I don't know what options you have about recouping your money. I am really sorry this happened to you and wish you the best of luck. Maybe he will come through in the end? Lemmie know if I can help.
