I'll never understand what Jeep engineers were thinking with this hood. Engineering fail if you ask me.

Yep, call me stupid, but I like the stock hood way more. These are way to busy for my liking. but I am sure there are people that like them.

Yeah first time I parked beside a jeep with that good in the rain I saw that and thought the same thing. Design flaw

mine is different it has vents cut on the sides and I don't think the "dip" is that deep at the front. I have the one that came on 2015 X edition, what are these on? Also I don't think my dome is as high.

hmm I didn't realize they were so different, I thought they were the same. Mine is certainly more low profile than that.

Thats an AEV HOOD rebranded by Mopar and they didnt want the vent/drain holes like the AEV comes with, so pooling water is the result. The AEV model doesnt do that

not a very good shot of the hood, but you can kind of see how it's different. It isn't squared off in the front and there are vents on each side. after looking around it seems that my hood is the same that is on the Rubicon Hard rock.
