I just wanted to let any one waiting for an 08 JK that they are shipping. So hang tight.

I am pleased to announce that I am the proud parent of a shinny new shinny 2008 Black JK X. She does not have a name yet as I am picking her up Wed. night. Can't wait!

 

Yeah I noticed last week the dealership in my town (which I will NOT go to) has an 08 Rubi and 08 Sahara both black. Not sure how they were able to get them so fast and they were not even ordered for anyone as they are sitting in their sale lot. Oh well mine will be here in a couple weeks - supposedly I have a ship date of Aug.14th. Will get very excited when I have the keys in my hand.

Does anyone know what improvements/deteriorations have been made to the 2008 model? ie should I wait till next year (Australia won't see an 08 model till at least Feb) or get one now???

I went and looked at a white 07 rubicon 4dr built in June and everything I've read here is true. There was rust on the door hinges, front screws for the windshield were pitting and rust inside the screw holes, plastic interior is easy to scratch, starting it was kind weird had a catch sometimes when trying to start it....like it didn't start when I released the key but kept turning the starter and started. I'm hoping for improvements real soon because I reaaaaaly want one of these things!

 

I ordered my 08 in early July. Hopefully it will be here by December.

OK, I know.... I picked her up last night! I could not believe how much I missed my Jeep! It was a wonderful 90 mi drive home... with the top down of course.

Anyway, I am waiting to put on my AEV Bridgers and 305 's on before I take pics..
I purchased my Jeep out of state ( PA ) and need to take it to a (NJ) inspection station to get my 4 year exemption. I need to wait for my yellow inspection card, then I need to take it to an inspection station, then the new shoes, then the pics...

What the heck, I will throw a few up this weekend, just for you... . and cause I'm so excited.
