09 JK dead
OK . . . So the service department told me my starter was fried and it will take 3-4 days to get the part in from Minnesota. This doesn't make much sense to me.
Why would a dealership service department not have starters for wranglers in stock? I am assuming that the starters on the 07-08 wranglers are the same part # but I do not know. Additionally, I would assume this starter is the same on other Chrysler models equipped with the 3.8 V6 engine. I have suspicion that there is more to the problem than they want to admit.
I feel like calling other area dealers to see if they have starters in stock for an 09 Wrangler. Of the 4-5 in the area I bet one of them does have one.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Hmm...1401 miles?
It's practically new. That sucks man, that's some bad luck. My JK has barely over 4000 miles and no problem as of yet. I agree with Climber, all JK's have their little problems. Hopefully the stealership will find the problem and fix it...if not, complain and bitch about it to them!!
