15 month deployment help...
Help Please…
I am currently deployed in Iraq, Im getting closer to being home and back to my JK
it will have been sitting in the same spot and has not been run for 15 months.
Some questions…
1. After not moving for 15 months will the tires be bad?
2. Will I need to do anything with the computer?
3. Besides getting all new fluid for everything is there anything I should do?
Anything you think would help! Thank you in advance for all the help

First let me say thank you for your service!,, and you might have flat spots in the tires that should come out once warmed up,, newer tires seem better at recovering.. I would get the engine oil changed and checked over just in case any mice got in.. They like the wires chrysler uses for the injector harness..
Jword,
Did they have you make any special preparations for storage such as remove any fuilds, especially any of the flammable kind.
If so bring that stuff
The gas will be terrible after 15 months you will need it for sure. Depending on the conditions of the warehouse, insects and mice could of setup home, just be prepared for that. Also the belt and hoses may need to be replaced. Just treat it like a service cycle and do all of the standard fixup stuff.
Hurry home and good luck

Fresh fuel would be number 1. I would add a good gas treatment like Lucas to the fuel. Then an oil change. I think the tires will be fine after a little drive.
I would change the other fluids just in case you got moisture but I don't think they are bad.
Welcome back and Thanks for your service to our country.

At least you got a building to park it in. When we got deployed to the first gulf war they just parked the cars out in the motor pool, ran some razor wire around them and there they sat for six months, out in the elements. None of them worked when we got back. I was lucky, I got someone to take care of mine.
There's a good chance your battery will be dead. I'd say take it to your dealer and have them run a diagnostic on it to find anything else that might be wrong. Check the tires for dry rot and that should do it.

Thanks for looking out for us. Your service is greatly appreciated. You have gotten good answers so I won't add anything except to give another choice for the fuel treatment. Seafoam. The stuff is wonderful.
