33's don't really require a lift and you would have more of a stock feeling ride without the lift.. However you can now put some 35's on it with that lift... Just sayin

I have the same 2.5 lift with 33" nitto terra grapplers. Ride quality is awesome!!!!! Looks great too!! Didn't really affect gas mileage either!!! Hope this helps. Will put up pics tomorrow for you to see!

Dan

Forgot to mention I put the 33's on stock 18" Sahara rims!!!

Since you won't be able to let much air out of the tires, the ride will be very harsh off-highway (such as a washboard dirt road). If you do let more air out of the tires, then you risk damage to the rim from the reduced sidewall height once you get to the rocks (Tower Arch Trail in Moab comes immediately to mind as that very situation). That's why the rule of thumb for Jeeps is a rim size half the tire diameter: 16s are perfect for 33s. 18s on 33s are for mall crawlers or people whose idea of "off-road" is a well-maintained dirt road to their hunting lodge.

I would skip the 33's and go with 35's. I have 20's and went with the 33.4" Trail Grapplers and at 40 psi the ride is the same as stock. I didn't want to lose too much power on the hwy so thats why I did the 33's, but lost the power anyways. So Im sure you would love the 35's. And as for wheeling , lots of us have 18 & 20's and still do great ( yes even on NON groomed roads and not going to the lodge ) Don't listen to the big rim haters out there. Its your jeep, do what you want. Your ride quality will be fine
