Default 1st accident in the JEEP

Thank you bigger tires and spacers!! A Honda SUV merged right into me this morning and ripped his front bumper off / gashed his tire. I guess my front right Duratrac jacked him up pretty good

NO damage whatsoever to the Jeep. I think I'll give the Jeep a nice wash today and we'll enjoy a few beers together

Holy Cats! Good to hear your baby wasn't damaged. I'm sure the SUV person wasn't thrilled

Be careful out there!

He probably was checking out your jeep and got distracted and ran into you, people are drawn towards things they like. So while your huge tires might have saved you they probably caused the accident too.

Had my first accident too this past week. I forgot there was a car parked in the driveway right outside my Jeep (Jeep was in the garage). 5am in the morning going to the gym I put the garage door up, backed up, and bang. There was $2050 damage to the Dodge Journey and all I had was a scratch on the hitch. We had to have the Journey's hood and grill replaced. Sad thing for me is that it is my mother in law's car. Oops. I'm still good with the mother in law though LOL

Gald to hear youre okay! I wouldnt count your chickens just yet. Id make sure your axels werent bent. As soon as you can, take off the doors. Driving straight lean out a bit and watch the tire spin to make sure there is no wobble. Wobble = bent axel. If its a small bend, you may never feel it. Not sure about bigger tires, they make it obvious to feel or they may only mask it more. Grab a friend and have them check passenger side too(or what ever side you where hit on).

That's what the bigger tires are for, lesser obstacles. I know as I drive it down the road there are people who make sure the tires and the steel bumper never touch them.

I love being lifted with rock rails guarding the side of my jeep. Its nice to know if anyone who parks next to me once to slam their door open that my rock rails will greet their doors before they can hit my jeep
