2.5" Bb ?
What is a good tire size and brand. To fill out a JK with a 2.5" BB. Funds are tight...I am trying to hold out and get the FT 3" Premium but I am tired of Bone Stock...so I was thinking of just going with the TF 2.5" BB. And was wondering what would perform/look best! I have a black 2dr 'X' by the way! Thanks for any help!
I like the look of a more narrow tire. I am thinking about going with the 33x10.5 BFG MT's. A 2.5BB will be plenty tall for most 33" tires. The 33x10.5 will be about the same width as a stock rubicon tire, but about 1" taller overall on a 15" rim. I am also making the assumption that a 15" rim works on the JK, I have not looked into that yet.
I just installed my 2.5" BB last weekend. I have 33x12x15's and love the "well-rounded" look. I wanted a wider stance and had ordered 16x10 wheels originally to get the wideness, but due to certain circumstances, I ended up with 15x8's. The backspacing of 3.38" widens out everything nicely.
I got Mickey Thompson MTZ's with my rims. They were a tad too expensive in the 16" rim variety but were right where I wanted to be ($30 less) for the 15". I had TrXus MT's slated for the 16x10's, which I heard good things about.
I'll take pics tomorrow to show the lift/tire combo.

BF Goodrich MT have been around for ever and were the number one off road racing tire for years. The price of them is not to bad if you find the right dealer. I found a local tire shop that sells 255 75R17's (which is the stock rubi size) for $136 ea. I have found them as low as $109 mail order, but then all the shipping brought it back up to the price of the others.
