2 Door Owners, Get rid of your Wranglers ASAP and get Honda CRV's
Small Used SUV to Avoid: Jeep Wrangler
(Consumer Reports)

:rotflmao 2:
King of the off-road, the 2007 Wrangler can climb over almost any obstacle except a reliability test. Owners of the two-door version responding to Consumer Reports reported major transmission problems and issues with the electrical system and brakes. And it's selling on dealer lots at a relatively expensive $19,850.
Small Used SUV Alternative: Honda CR-V
A lot less noticeable than a Wrangler, the Honda CR-V is a lot less trouble, too. It won the J.D. Power dependability award in this category and is rated by Consumer Reports as a well-above-average used car prospect. As a used-car buyer, you are on the wrong side of Honda models' strong ability to hold their value. But at a dealer price of $20,980, the four-wheel-drive version of the CR-V is still a decent

I just read that a few minutes ago
The fact that they recommend a honda anything as an alternative to a Jeep tells you what they know,......... not a damn thing.
I bought my '07 brand new back in july of '07 and I wouldn't change a thing.
Magazines to avoid : consumer reports
With idiotic reviews and unrealistic comparisons, most people have complained about how unreliable this poor excuse for a magazine really is.
magazine alternative : JP
All Jeeps, enough said.

From a reliability standpoint though-are they saying anything wrong? A Jeep is a Chrysler product, and nobody on the planet says "I wanna buy a very high quality vehicle, so Im gonna buy a Chrysler product". Face it, that just doesnt happen. I Know plenty of people who swear by their Hondas and Toyotas, I dont know anybody that swears by a Chrysler. I buy new cars alot - in the past 5 years Ive had 2 Mustangs, 2 Titans and a Camaro. I didnt hesitate to buy any of those vehicles, but the Wrangler was/is cause for concern.
I have zero problems so far, but a few years back, I stopped being a Chrysler nutswinger and admitted to myself they were crap vehicles and swore I would never buy another, but I just couldnt resist the Jeep any longer! God I hope I dont regret this.

If I didn't wheel my jeep, I wouldn't own one. Plain and simple. Wind noises, lack of power, horrid milage, etc are things I over look for the trail capability. If I didn't wheel, the JK wouldn't be in my drive...

I understand I have a 97 tacoma that I'm planning to have forever (bought it new) also a2009 tacoma (I feel like I can keep that one as well) I also had a civic (great car) but I can say I would not trade any of those for my jeep (somehow) not all who drive jeeps are jeepers, and they don't have to be....
People still read consumer reports, the most worthless excuse for a magazine on the market? I remember when CS had to issue a press release stating they will no longer issue automatic "highly suggested" ratings of new Toyota's due to three large recalls [this was months before the brake issues].
Consumer Reports claimed the Japanese automakers Samurai SUV was prone to rollovers, after it was proven explosives made the Samurai roll over, during the law suit Consumer Reports stated freedom of the press !
David Pittle, “We stand fully behind our published reports and testing of the Samurai.”
if you trust Consumer Reports then you need your head examined !
