Here's the problem. I have a soft top that came with my Used 4 DR JK that I bought from a dealer but it doesn't fit my JK. The dealer told me to sell it and keep the money. Problem is I don't know what it fits. It has long side windows like a TJ unlimited but I'm not sure if maybe it might fit a 2 DR JK.

Anybody have any tips on distinguishing what Jeep this fits?? Dimensions of a 2DR JK top perhaps? Any help is greatly appreciated.

From what I understand, nothing from a JK will fit on a TJ.

Just an idea. Take a side window with you to a dealership that has soft top JK's and TJ's on the lot and lay it up against the corresponding window on each to see if it's the same.

That should help determine what it's from

If a salesman comes out and asked what you are doing. Give him the Cindarella story that when you find the Jeep that the window fits you'll buy it.

Awww c'mon guys! Can't someone measure the side/rear windows on their JK and post the results?
I would, but I rode my motorcycle to work and not the JK.

Read the previous post! Measuring the side and rear windows would determine what Jeep the top fits, either the 2 dr JK or Unlimited TJ.

 

Do you have all the parts for it?
If it has the two long windows AND the rear clips like your 4 door (you know the ones that always fall off) then it is for a 2 dr.
Also the door surrounds should look something like your 4 door ones.

 

It has the two long windows but so does the TJ unlimited. I don't have the clips for it or the door surround kit. I was hoping someone would measure their 2 dr soft top side windows so I would know if this was a 2 Dr JK top.

 

The TJ and JK side windows both connect at the vertical pillar where the door strike is located differently. The JK has a sort of square fabric covered section that tucks into the surround channel. The TJ windows have a plastic lip like on the soft top that hooks into the surrounds just like the way the top hooks over the doors and the sail panels hook at the rear of the Jeep. You should be able to tell which windows you have by looking at these connection points and see which you have. At least you will then know which model the windows are for.
