I am in the process of looking for the right JK. I will be getting a X package unlimited. My question is, other than the 4:10 gear ratio on the automatics in 2007, are there any other positives to getting a 2007? Thanks foor any info. I cant wait to join the pack.

I'd get a 2008. That way you would get the most up to date parts (i.e. newer hard top).

Are people having the leaking issues with the 2008 hardtops?

What is the difference in '07 and '08 hardtops? I ask because I just ordered one today for my '08 at the dealer.

Im not sure there is any difference. I have read of people having issues with 2007 models and the hardtops leaking.

Isn't that a good thing. Who needs tire sensors on a jeep?

One of the main reasons I ask 2007 or 2008 is I will do the teraflex 2.5" bb and 33's. I figured the 4:10s would be better than the 3:73s in the 2008. If anyone thinks I am wrong please tell me.

I think the 4.10s should be the minimum in a JK, personally I wouldn't want the 3.73's, especially if lift/larger tires are involved.
