FInally was able to put my order in today!! Went to dealer put down some green. They think 6-8 weeks for delivery. They said wrangler sales have dropped a bit so it should get built quickly. Sounds great to me. I can hardly wait!

I'm surprised they didnt try to sell you one off lot or find an 08 for ya, with the sales down so much there are so many sitting on dealer lots

 

Never count on what the dealer tells you. They told us 6-8 weeks and it took 7 months for our '08 Rubi 4 door. But that was then and I suspect the sales have fallen off by now so you might just get yours in that time period. I sure don't envy you the wait. Hope you get it in time to enjoy it while the weather is nice. Congrats!

 

No they didnt have any info other than the order stuff. No pricing either. I dont care what it is i just WANT ONE!

I hate to tell you this, but I think 6-8 weeks is very optimistic. I don't think they even start building them until mid-August, right?

I've got mine on order now, too, and my dealer told me that the earliest I should expect delivery is late Sept, but most likely early October.

 

I heard something somewhere that the lifetime warranty will not be offered on the '09's, is there anything to that, or was that dealer blowing smoke up this guy's you know what to get him to buy one of the '08's off the lot?

 

Yeah i dont think i will see it till october, november honestly. I dont mind waitin. I know it will be worth it! Also it gives me time to order my lift, wheels and tires.

 

Last year the plant closed for a week in July, I think the 2nd and started building the 08's july 23rd-ish if I remember correctly and they started showing up to dealers late august.

 

Fine with me. I was just passin' what I was told. Truth be told that'd be better for me if I want to keep my '09... I'll have to check into it a bit more once I get my orders and my plans firm up a bit...
